Description
Plants consist of distinct rossette** of light yellow-green leaves approximately 4 - 8 inches long. Tuft of long unbranched, fibrous roots extending into water from fleshy rhizome. Leaves have define veins radiating from leaf base toward leaf margin. Commonly found in quiet water areas in Florida as well as isolated areas in other gulf coast states.
** Rosette: a dense basal cluster of leaves arranged in circular fashion like the leaves of the common dandelion.
