Centre for Aquatic Plant Management
This research center in Berkshire, UK has done the most comprehensive research into the use of Barley Straw to control planktonic and filamentous algae. There research encompasses chemical, mechanical biological and environmental methods of plant mangement directed at submerged, emergent and bankside plant species. The Centre also undertakes research into aspects of bioengineering in aquatic and riparian systems.
