Description
Erect rooted herbaceous plant with alternate, oblong leaves. Stem is distinctly jointed. Small tightly clustered flowers, generally pink or rose colored. Plant may be emergent in shallow water or completely submersed with only flowers visible above the surface. Found throughout the United States.
