EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: Excessive exposure may cause skin and eye irritation. Other toxic effects are unknown. Methyl anthranilate is classified as a Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) compound under 21 CFR 182.60.
EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES: IF INHALED: If affected, remove from exposure. Restore berating. Keep warm and quiet. IF ON SKIN: Wash affected area thoroughly with soap and water. IF IN EYES: Flush eyes with large amounts of water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention. IF SWALLOWED; Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Give several glasses of water. If vomiting is not spontaneous, induce vomiting by gently touching the back of the patient's throat with a finger. Keep airway clear. Seek medical attention.

STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE THE MATERIAL IS SPILLED OR RELEASED: Collect the material for reclamation or place in a covered waste disposal container.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Landfill, incinerate in approved facility or expose to ultraviolet (UV) light until all odor dissipates. Do not incinerate closed container. Dispose of in accordance with federal, state and local regulations regarding pollution.
SECTION VII SPECIAL PROTECTIVE INFORMATION
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Use a respirator (MSHA/NIOSH approval number TC-21C) approved for organic vapors, fumes and mists in areas laden with vapor.
VENTILATION: Mix in well ventilated area (local exhaust preferable, general exhaust acceptable) or in the out-of doors.
PROTECTIVE GLOVERS: Rubber.
EYE PROTECTION: Safely glasses or goggles with unperforated side shields.
OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Safety shower, eye wash. Wash skin and clothing thoroughly with soap and warm water after handling or contamination.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORAGE: Do not store near open flames or oxidizing agents. Do not store at temperatures below 50o F (10o C) or above 110o F (43o C).
