Watermeal
(wolffia spp.)

Description
Smallest of flowering plants, granular in size, usually very abundant when present. No roots present. Plant is often mistaken for seeds. Common throughout the United States. This plant is extremely difficult to control, aeration should be considered to create a hostile environment, once the Watermeal has been eliminated.
Suggested Treatment
| Sonar Liquid | 1.5 Quart Sonar per surface acre, dilute with water to provide coverage, spray evenly over surface of water. If the watermeal is covering the entire surface, it will be necessary to inject the Sonar below the surface of the Watermeal so that it gets into the water before it evaporates.
