Yellow Water Lily
aka: Spadderdock, Yellow Cow Lily
(Nuphar spp.)

Leaves large, heart-shaped, commonly 8 to 16 inches long. Leaf veins extending laterally from midrib. Flower is bright yellow, with a single row of petals. Spreads horizontally from rhizome similar to the White Water Lily. Found throughout the United States, prefers muck or silt bottom in stagnant, shallow areas.
